Originally, Michael was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness.
Despite reports about his conversion, and speculation surrounding his moving to Bahrain and being photographed in a woman’s burka (undoubtedly for privacy), there has not been an official statement from Michael himself.
It was reported in late 2008 that he changed his name to Mikaeel at an informal ceremony in Los Angeles. However, since then he did not go by this name and continued to go by the name of Michael.
The family will certainly have an interesting discussion about what type of funeral arrangements to make, and undoubtedly someone will not be happy.

Michael Jackson who lived like a child, who loved children more than anything has a voice of angel. He tried to heal the world by his angelic voice in spite of healing his wounded soul, he who wanted to beat all the hurdles in his life, gone too soon. Even tough he never made it official that he converted to Islam, for him it was a private matter and i do believe that he had a great interest in Islam from the moment his brother Germaine came back from Mekkah with books about Islam. But, like a lot of muslims in the West, he probably struggled with the islamophobic society he lived in and the almost impossibile way to combine Hollywood with Islam.
I loved his music and i never believed anything bad about him, but like all people he was weak, and a lot of times under influence of others. If i could say something to Michael, i would say: You were great, you allready won what you didn’t thought you had, and that’s the hearts of Millions of people, from Christian to Muslim. As a Muslim you could have carried your problems and live life like YOU wanted.
Allah swt took an angel and i hope that Allah is with him and takes care of him. May he finally have the rest he deserves.

Michael like us all was imperfect, but he went through a lot during his life.
I can understand why he loved the animals and childhood things, as he had missed out on these.
Im sure he was so tormented by so many things, despite that, he was a great father and a wonderfull singer/dancer.
Who are we to judge.
The bible says the tears we shed in sorrow now wlll be returned to us as tears of joy in the ressurection, He loved his mom and she believes what the bible ( our guide book) says so she will like many others look forward to that time when revelation 21v1-4 says no more sickness or death, the former things have passed away

Michael Jackson did not claim him as Christian. but, he imitated the Lord Jesus love to love others especially children to prove God the Lord Jesus being with him always. so, it does not matter his funeral is Christian or Muslim one. Allah , is a fake god can not get Michael .

People in this World need to wake up to the truth about God. His Name is Jesus The Anointed One, and no one can go to God the Father except through accepting the atoning work Jesus paid on the cross for our sins including Michaels. If he did not publicly profess Jesus as Lord of his life then Michael Jackson was not born again.He was not saved! So when he died he stood before Jesus,and Jesus said “Depart from me worker of aniquity,for I did not know you”. I hope that before he died that he cried out for Jesus, if he did’nt he is forever separated from God the Father.
Michael Jackson did not become a Muslum his brother Jermaine did. Michael Jackson did not follow the

So remember what the Bible says in so many words that “we will be surprised on that day of who made it to the kingdom and who did not” I am grateful for that incident that Michael went through because I brought him to God! I asked God to show me a sign if Michael Jackson is with Him and He did!!

no matter what religion he had jehonah god is very good and if it´s his will to bring him back to life in the future just as he promise in the holy bible. he will be resurected and all those who believe will see him again in the new world.
and how happy he will be to see that all he wanted to see… a new world with no hate or sorrow and the entire earh transformed in a paradise and all human beings living together as one. not only was he a great performer, singer, dancer he was a great person he is noe resting. like jesus christ says he´s only sleeping wainting to hear his voice and live ones again. i belive!

jesus christ is not a human. he only became human when he descend from heaven to earth…but before he went to earth he is a spirit. he cant save all the people by crucifiying himself if he is in spirit body… so he is not just a prophet… he is son of god. .. the most high god…
A human can be a god in the sense that he can be worshiped. But not in the sense of being Almighty God. We can make anything a god if we choose to do so. However, in the bible, the only time it refers to Almighty God is when it is capitalized. Lower case god is not referring to Almighty god. There’s no need to argue about religion, or fight or hate someone because they are of another religion. Just as Miachael said,”if we want to make a change in this world, we need to first look at ourselves and make the change.” If we all did so, this world would be a better place. Muslims do not know Jesus at all. Understand that Jesus died for all sin in the world.A christians judgement will be not of his sin, as Christ died for that sin. It will be of what he done to proclaim the kingdom of God through what Jesus accomplished on the cross.The devil has LOST and the only thing he can do is take as many people to hell with him through their unbelief in Christ. This is a very interesting topic. I believe that Michael was Christian. He has said numerous times that he had faith and believed in God. In an interview with Geraldo, he made a statement saying that he believed that the truth will come out in the end, and that he believed in God. I was aware as Jermaine being Muslim, but not Michael. Just because someone shows interest or lives in another country for a period doesn’t mean they convert. I never heard a statement from Michael saying he had converted, so I’ll not believe it.
Michael also said countless times, “May God bless you.” or “God Bless” He spoke of God often and highly. He said in an interview he got his song writing inspiration from above. (Living with Michael Jackson)
I believe Michael was in a sense, an angel. He was thoroughly put through the test during his short time here, much like Job/Jesus. He was ridiculed and judged because he was misunderstood. People judge what they do not understand. Michael always thanked God. He never mentioned Allah. He always said and spoke of Jesus.
But as a Christian, and trying to be a better person each day and live victoriously through God, I pray for his family and those three precious children. May God Bless!

Sometimes we entertain angels unaware….Micheal may have been just that. He had a pure heart in a terrible world that was cruel to him. He was childlike and in the Bible Jesus tells us that we are to approach God this way. He never spoke ill of the people who spoke ill of him Never. I have been a chrisitan 20 years and cannot say I have a pure heart and cannot speak ill when I am hurt by others. I have learned to be a better christian by watching the behavior of Micheal Jackson. His very name means, “like God”…and I believe he was anointed and blessed by God. He gave more than any human being I know of in history, he loved all people, his talents were not of this world and he forgave his enemies. How many of us can do that daily?….Jesus was treated just like Micheal was when he was on this earth. They have so much in common. I know The Lord had his hand on him and perhaps even allowed him to come home suddenly because he could see much more sorrow in his future here on this earth. Micheal was a great inspiration to me. No matter what he called himself, no other person has caused me to look at my own christianity the way he did….God bless his family indeed and I will see him again when we get where he is……AMEN!

Instead of debating as to whether MJ was a christian or moslem, we should be praying to God thru our Lord Jesus Christ to receive Michael’s soul and present it to the good Lord Almighty. It seems to me that Michael has been the focal point of deity here and not God. We know Jesus was the promised Messiah who came to die for all mankind, a sacrificial lamb for the sins of the whole world. Jesus is alive today and stands at the right hand of the Father. Michael Jackson was a man, given talents and abilities and used them to entertain us, but he did not live a perfect and sinless life as Jesus did. Many here are making Michael out to be a saint and his image was unusual, but none of us know who he was behind the camera’s. I do not believe MJJ was guilty of child molestation, but we are too eager to exhonerate him. He is no where prophecied in the Bible to be some great force or man to do anything in a matter of redemption and we need to realize this. We are hero worshipping him and must focus our attention on Jesus Christ the lamb of God! Due to his death we have a wide variety of people discussing his afterlife and the point is that unless we name the name of Christ as our Lord and Saviour we will not enter into Heaven. Michael spoke of Jesus but never publicly claimed Him to b his God and saviour so he could have just deemed Him as a great man and imitated His life as a man would imitate his heroes, so we cannot really say where he is, but that he is in the hands of the Lord. He has done one thing and that is spark a spiritual conversation amongst men over where will you spend eternity. His songs never spoke of saving the world, only healing it and no one can do that except Jesus. If I were to judge his religious beliefs on the basis of what he has written and stated over the years I would say that MJJ is a Buddhist. He may have been one of the most talented people in the world with his angelic voice and his gravity defying moves, but again no man can enter into Heaven without the Grace of God being shed in his heart by professing the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as their saviour. I haven’t read the Lambs book of life so I don’t know who is there, I can only hope and that hope is based off of the facts.
ok as a non christian nor a muslim (i follow no book) i’ve been a fan of Michael for decades seen him perform a few times , ive also seen rare home made videos and interviews . Michael talked about Jesus so many times (you could tell in his voice and eyes he worshiped jesus , idolised jesus more than the vast majority of christians he loved the stories of jesus’s miracles etc) he brought his children up as catholics aswell. I can’t see for the life in me Michael denouncing Jesus as his propohet to denounce jesus as the son of god etc and that he died for all our sins. these where all very important things for michael. To follow islam he would have to give christ in the way michael followed him , up to follow muhammed. michael loved all races, colors and religions but he followed jesus not muhammed . i’m pretty sure michael would have come out anyway. plus as a muslim he would not be allowed to dance and sing publicly , stripping everything away michael loved.
I think micheal jackson was a very nice person, although I never met him. He had one of the best, if not the best singing voice ever heard by anyone. I don’t think he did any of the bad things that people accused him of doing. He had a lot of money and people tried to come up with schemes to get a piece. I wish I could have met him

Wow, this is an enlightening page. I think everyone here just strengthened my belief in God. I have never been a Michael Jackson fan, and I even believed the stories the media created, but recently I saw Michael Jackson’s Private Home Movies on TV by accident, and I realised what a good person he was. I look around on the internet about him and found out that everything was a lie, that he is a wonderful person and deserves to go to Heaven. I just hope that he had time to say that one final prayer before he died, and that God saw the kind things he did in his life. I hope that the Gates of Heaven open to Michael and he lives there in peace where people finally understand him.

mj spoke about respect and love for creation and followed the footsteps of Jesus. He not only preached like most ‘christians’ or ‘believers’ out there he lived his life and LIVED BY EXAMPLE. I think we should all just SHUT UP and stop speculating and ‘STOP EXISTING AND START LIVING’.

I think micheal and his brother made a good choice in accepting Islam for I think it is the true religon. Jesus (Issa) is a prophet not a god. We muslims believe in ALLAH swt and ALLAH swt is the one and true God. ALLAH swt is also the judge on the day of Judgement. All praises be to ALLAH swt.
ok actually, i have read some cute little childrens poems that he has written and he talks about Jesus so hes Christian.
and later in the years his mother said that she felt bad about raising them as JW’s and she said that she wished she taught them the truth about God wich is Christianity. and Jesus was not a prophet,, he was the Son of God, but God at the same time. you know the holy trinity, the Father the Son and Holy Ghost is really like one unit, so in a way Jesus was God, just God in a different form.
